  AREA COUNTIES SAW UNEMPLOYMENT PERCENTAGE DECLINE AS WELL

             THE NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF LABOR SHOWED RECORD SETTING UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER.

 

              THE UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBER STATE WIDE IS AT 3.7 PERCENT, DOWN TWO TENTHS OF A PERCENT TO A RATE THE STATE HASN’T SEEN SINCE NOVEMBER OF 2008.

 

              THE KNCY LISTENING AREA IN SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA SAW UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS DECLINES IN ALL SIX COUNTIES.

 

              IN OTOE COUNTY THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE FOR NOVEMBER CAME IN AT 3.4 PERCENT, A DECLINE OF TWO TENTHS OF A PERCENT.

 

              IN NEMAHA COUNTY THE UNEMPLOYMENT CAME IN AT 4 PERCENT EVEN, A DECLINE OF SIX TENTHS OF A PERCENT.

 

              ELSEWHERE ACROSS THE KNCY LISTENING AREA PAWNEE COUNTY HAD THE AREA’S BEST UNEMPLOYMENT RATE AT 2.4 PERCENT, A DROP OF FOUR TENTHS OF A PERCENT FROM THE PERVIOUS MONTH.

 

              JOHNSON HAD THE AREA’S SECOND BEST UNEMPLOYMENT RATE AT 3 PERCENT, A DECLINE OF SEVEN TENTHS OF A PERCENT FROM OCTOBER.

 

             CASS COUNTY SAW FOUR MORE PEOPLE COME OFF UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS FROM OCTOBER BUT THE PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE UNEMPLOYED REMAINED AT 3.7 PERCENT.

 

             AND THE HIGHEST UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IN THE AREA CAME FROM RICHARDSON COUNTY WHO 4.3 PERCENT RATE FOR NOVEMBER WAS TWO TENTHS OF A PERCENT BELOW NUMBERS FROM LAST MONTH.
