SENCA HELPED WEATHERIZE NEARLY 400 HOMES SINCE 2010

             THE SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA COMMUNITY ACTION (SENCA) OFFICES ARE HELPING LOW INCOME FAMILIES ACROSS THE KNCY LISTENING AREA WEATHERIZE THEIR HOMES IN PREPERATION FOR WINTER.

 

              WEDNESDAY IS NATIONAL WEATHERIZATION DAY AND SINCE 2010 THE SENCA OFFICES HAVE WEATHERIZED 396 HOMES IN THE COUNTIES OF CASS, DOUGLAS, JOHNSON, NEMAHA, OTOE, PAWNEE AND RICHARDSON COUNTIES.

 

              ACCORDING TO SENCA HOUSING DIRECTOR ANGIE ANTHOLZ, HOUSEHOLDS WITH INCOME AT 200 PERCENT OF THE POVERTY LINE MAY QUALIFY FOR WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE THROUGH THEIR OFFICE.

 

              QUALIFIED SERVICES CAN INCLUDE AN ENERGY AUDIT, INSULATION, WEATHER STRIPPING, CAULKING, BROKEN GLASS REPLACEMENT, FURNACE INSPECTION, AND REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF DOORS AND WINDOWS.
