STATE CHAMBER PRAISES PASSING OF LEGISLATIVE BILL 308

             THE MEMBERS OF NEBRASKA CITY’S ROTARY CLUB GOT AN UPDATE ON THE IMPORTANT BUSINESSESS ISSUES DURING THE 2013 LEGISLATIVE SESSION WEDNSDAY AFTERNOON.

 

              THE NEBRASKA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY HELD THEIR ANNUAL STATE CHAMBER LEGISLATIVE UPDATE, TELLING BUSINESSES LEADERS OF NEBRASKA CITY THE IMPORTANT LEGISLATIVE ISSUES IN THE AREAS OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, TAXATION, AND JOB CREATION.

 

              PRESIDENT OF THE STATE CHAMBER BARRY KENNEDY SAYS LEGISLATIVE BILL 308, SENATOR DAN WATERMEIER’S PRIORITY BILL FROM THE PREVIOUS SESSION, WAS AN IMPORTANT BILL PASSED IN 2013.

              KENNEDY SAYS THE STATE CHAMBER IS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR LEGISLATION IN THE AREAS OF TAX RELIEF, STATE SPENDING, AND MEDICARE EXPANSION BEING PROPOSED DURING THE 2014 LEGISLATIVE SESSION.

 

              THE STATE CHAMBER WILL ALSO BE HOLDING A LEGISLATIVE UPDATE THIS FRIDAY AT THE PLATTSMOUTH BANK.

 

              THE NEBRASKA CITY ROTARY CLUB MEETS EVERY WEDNESDAY AT NOON AT THE EAGLES CLUB IN TOWN.
