RYAN SAYS PROGRAM IS NOW IN JOHNSON BROCK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

             PERU STATE COLLEGE HAS MADE A CONCIOUS EFFORT FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS IN TRYING TO CURB PEDIATRIC OBESITY IN SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA.

 

              ACCORDING TO PERU STATE PROFESSOR DR KYLE RYAN, THE CHILDREN HEALTH ACTIVIITY AND NUTRITION COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OR CHANCE INTIATIVE HAS BEEN WORKING TO ENCOURAGE CHILDREN OF NEMAHA COUNTY TO DO SOME SORT OF PHYSCIAL ACTIVITY FOR 20 TO 30 MINUTES A DAY TWO DAYS A WEEK FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS.

 

              RYAN SAYS THE INTAITIVE IS STARTING TO GAIN COMMUNITY RECOGNITION AROUND SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA.

              RYAN SAYS PERU STATE STUDENTS HOLD ACTIVITIES AT CALVERT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN AUBURN ON MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY AFTERNOONS FROM 3:30 TO 3:55, AND AT JOHNSON BROCK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TUESDAY AND THURSDAY AFTERNOONS FROM 3:25 TO 3:50.
