DRUG TAKEBACK DAY HAPPENING NATIONWIDE THIS WEEKEND

              RESIDENTS OF SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA INTERESTED IN DOING AWAY WITH EXPIRED OR UNUSED PRECRIPTION DRUGS WILL HAVE AN OPPROTUNITY TO SAFELY DISPOSE OF THEM THIS WEEKEND.

 

              NATIONAL DRUG TAKEBACK DAY IS THIS WEEKEND, AND A HANDFUL OF KNCY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICES WILL BE HOLDING SITES TO DISPOSE OF PRESREPTION DRUGS IN SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA.

 

              NEMAHA COUNTY SHERIFF BRENT LOTTMAN SAYS THOSE WHO BRING PRESCRIPTION DRUGS TO THESE EVENTS WON’T BE BOMBARDED WITH QUESTIONS FROM OFFICERS.

              THE NEMAHA COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE WILL HOLD DRUG TAKEBACK SITES THIS SATURDAY FROM 10 IN THE MORNING UNTIL 2 IN THE AFTERNOON AT THE FAMILY VALUE AND SHOPKO PHARMACY IN AUBURN.

 

              THERE ARE TWO OTHER DRUG TAKE BACK SITES BEING HELD IN OTOE COUNTY, ONE BY THE NEBRASKA CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT AT THE CITY HALL PARKING LOT. THE OTHER ONE WILL BE CONDUCTED BY THE OTOE COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE AT SYRACUSE’S CITY HALL PARKING LOT.
