CITY HAS BEEN WORKING ON PROJECT SINCE AUGUST 2011

              THE GOVERNOR OF NEBRASKA IS COMMENDING NEBRASKA CITY FOR RECENTLY STRIKING A DEAL TO INCREASE THE TOWNS BANDWITH CAPABILTIIES.

 

              AT THEIR OCTOBER 7TH CITY COUNCIL MEETING, NEBRASKA CITY AGREED TO A FRANCHISE AGREEMENT WITH SPIRAL COMMUNICATIONS OF GLENWOOD IOWA FOR THE DEPLOYMENT OF FIBER OPTICS INSIDE THE CITY LIMTS, WHICH WILL MAKE THE SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA COMMUNITY THE FIRST IN THE STATE TO HAVE ACCESS TO A GIGABITE OF BANDWITH SPEED.

 

              IN AN INTERVIEW WITH KNCY NEWS, GOVERNOR DAVE HEINEMAN SAYS THIS IS AN EXCITING OPPROTUNITY FOR NEBRASKA CITY.

              CITY OFFICIALS OF NEBRASKA CITY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON BRINGING FASTER INTERNET SPEEDS TO TOWN SINCE AUGUST OF 2011.

 

              SPRIAL COMMUNICATIONS WILL BEGIN LAYING FIBER ALONG 11TH AND CENTRAL STREETS IN NEBRASKA CITY STARTING THIS UPCOMING SPRING.
