VOLUNTEERS LEARNED ABOUT WINDMILLS AND CIVIL WAR IN NEB CITY

             A GROUP OF VOLUNTEERS FROM THE HOMESTEAD NATIONAL MONUMENT OF AMERICA IN BEATRICE WAS IN NEBRASKA CITY LAST WEEK TOURING TWO OF NEBRASKA CITY’S MUSEUMS.

 

              ACCORDING TO HOMESTEAD PARK RANGER SUSAN COOK SHE BROUGHT A GROUP OF 40 PLUS VOLUNTEERS TO NEBRASKA CITY LAST THURSDAY TO TOUR THE KREGEL WINDMILL FACTORY.

 

             COOK SAYS THE PARK LIKES TO TRAIN THEIR VOLUTEERS IN THINGS CONNECTED TO THE HOMESTEAD ACT OF 1862 AND THE THEMES OF THE PARK.

              COOK SAYS THEY ALSO WENT THROUGH THE CIVIL WAR MUSEUM IN TOWN, SAYING THE VOLUTEERS LEARNED A LOT FROM BOTH MUESUMS AND ENJOYED THEIR TIME IN NEBRASKA CITY.
