KUDNA SAYS THE TOWN DISCUSSING SEVERAL REC OPTIONS

               RECREATION FACILITES WERE HIGHLIGHTED AT MONDAY NIGHT’S AUGUST MEETING OF THE AUBURN CITY COUNCIL.

 

              ACCORDING TO AUBURN MAYOR SCOTT KUDNA, OLSSON ASSOCIATES MADE A PROPOSAL TO THE COUNCIL FOR SERVICES INVOLVING TAKING INVENTORY OF THE TOWNS RECREATION FACILITIES AND TO DEVELOP A MASTER PLAN FOR THE TOWNS FUTURE FACILITIES AND WHAT THE PROBABLE COSTS OF ANY NEW FACILITIES WOULD BE.

 

              MAYOR KUDNA SAYS THEY ARE LOOKING AT ALL SORT OF NEW RECREATION IDEAS.

              THE COUNCIL DID APPROVE THE REQUEST BY OLSSON AND ASSOCIATES.

 

              THE COUNCIL ALSO APPROVED TWO PROJECTS APART OF THE DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION PHASE 2 USING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING, AND APPROVED THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD TO HIRE A CONSULTING FIRM TO WRITE A NATIONAL NOMINATION FOR A HISTORIC DISTRICT IN AUBURN.
