MALE, TWO MINORS STEAL OVER TWENTY FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS WORTH OF ITEMS

             THREE PEOPLE ARE IN CUSTODY THIS MORNING IN CONNECTION TO OVERNIGHT VEHICLE AND RESIDENTIAL THEFTS IN AUBURN.

 

              18 YEAR OLD PRESTON LEE OF AUBURN AND TWO MINORS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AFTER POLICE FOUND MORE THAN 25 HUNDRED DOLLARS WORTH OF STOLEN ITEMS.

             

              THE ITEMS STOLEN INCLUDED GPS’S, CASH, JEWLERY, CAMERAS, CLOTHES, AND CIGARETTES.

 

              AUBURN POLICE CHIEF KRIS BAKER SAID THE THREE WERE ABLE TO GET THE ITEMS THANKS TO RESIDENTS KEEPING THEIR CARS AND HOME NOT LOCKED UP.

 

             "OF ALL THESE VEHICLES THAT WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DETERMINE THEY HAVE BEEN BROKEN INTO LAST NIGHT, NONE OF THEM SUSTAINED ANY DAMAGE." BAKER SAID "AS WELL AS THE TWO RESIDENCE, (THEY HAD) ATTACHED GARAGES THAT WERE ENTERED THEY WERE ALSO LEFT UNLOCKED."

 

              LEE WAS CHARGED WITH THEFT, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, THE POSSESSION OF BURGLAR TOOLS, AND TWO COUNTS OF THE CONTRIBUTION TO THE DELINQUENCY OF A MINOR. HE WILL HAVE HIS BOND SET TOMORROW IN NEMAHA COUNTY COURT.
