CASHMAN, MIER'S TRIAL TO BEGIN SEPTEMBER 5TH 

              TWO TOPEKA KANSAS DEFENDANTS CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE FELONY COUNTS IN JUNES ROBBERY AT STEINHART PARK IN NEBRASKA CITY WILL SEE HIS CASE HEAD TO TRIAL.

 

              24 YEAR OLD SAMUEL MIER PLEAD NOT GUILTY MONDAY JULY 30TH TO ALL 12 FELONY COUNTS AGAINST HIM INCLUDING THREE COUNTS OF ROBBERY, THREE COUNTS OF TERRORIST THREATS, THREE COUNTS OF FALSE IMPRISIONMENT, AND THREE COUNTS OF USING A FIRE ARM TO COMMIT A FELONY.

 

              MIER’S CODEFENDANT, 25 YEAR OLD CYNTHIA CASHMAN ALSO OF TOPEKA KANSAS, PLEAD NOT GUILTY TO HER FELONY CHARGES ON MONDAY JULY 16TH.

 

              CASHMAN IS CHARGED WITH IDENTICAL CHARGES TO MIER, EXCEPT FOR THE CHARGES OF USING A WEAPON TO COMMIT A FELONY.

 

              SHE IS BEING CHARGED WITH A LESSER CHARGE OF USING A KNIFE TO COMMIT A FELONY, A SENTENCE THAT CARRIES ANYWHERE BETWEEN ONE A FIFTY YEARS IN JAIL PER CHARGE.

 

              MIER IS FACING A MANDATORY MINIMUM FIVE YEAR SENTENCE PER CHARGE IF HE IS CONVICTED OF USING A FIREARM TO COMMIT A FELONY.

 

              BOTH MIER AND CASHMAN WILL HAVE SEPARATE TRIAL’S COMING UP ON WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 5TH.
