              THE TREASURE HUNTERS BUYERS EVENT, OWNED BY THR AND ASSOCIATES OUT OF SPRINGFIELD ILLINOIS WAS IN NEBRASKA CITY FROM JULY 3RD TO JULY 7TH BUYING CUSTOMERS ANTIQUE COINS AND JEWELRY.

 

              ACCORDING TO THE THR AND ASSOCIATES MASTER REPORT FOR NEBRASKA CITY OBTAINED BY KNCY NEWS,THE COMPANY CUT 94 CHECKS TOTALING OVER 37 THOUSAND DOLLARS DURING THE FOUR DAY SHOW.

 

              THE MONETARY AMOUNT FROM CHECKS WRITTEN BY THR AND ASSOCIATES TO ITS NEBRASKA CITY CUSTOMERS RANGE FROM TWO DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS TO OVER 19 THOUSAND DOLLARS.

 

              WARREN MYERS IS THE BUYER WHO HOSTED THE TREASURE HUNTERS BUYERS EVENT IN NEBRASKA CITY AND HE SAID HE FIRST HEARD ABOUT THE BOUNCED CHECKS IN APRIL.

 

             HE SAYS THE COMPANY TOLD HIM THEY WERE GOING TO REIMBURSE THE CUSTOMERS.

 

            "THEY SAID HEY EVERYBODY IS GETTING PAID. YOU GUYS DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT." MYERS SAID "JUST SEND US THERE INFORMATION, WE WILL CUT THEM A CHECK. WE'RE GONNA GIVE THEM WHAT WE OWE PLUS WE'RE GONNA GIVE THEM SOMETHING A LITTLE EXTRA FOR THERE TIME AND FOR THERE BANK FEES.

 

              MYERS, WHO LEFT THE ROADSHOW AFTER THE NEBRASKA CITY SHOW, SAID THE COMPANY STOPPED ALL SHOWS IN JUNE SO THEY COULD GET CAUGHT UP ON ALL THEIR BOUNCED CHECKS.

 

              HE RETURNED AT THE END OF JUNE, ONLY TO HAVE THE SHOW CANCELED INDEFINITELY A FEW WEEKS LATER.

 

               "THE WEEK AFTER NEBRASKA CITY, THE COMPANY SENT OUT AN EMAIL TO ALL EMPLOYEES TELLING THEM TO SHUT THE SHOWS DOWN AND GO HOME." MYERS SAID "AND THE ACTUAL OWNER JEFF PARSON'S PUT A STOP PAYMENT ON ALL CHECKS FROM EMPLOYEES, TO VENDORS, TO MEDIA, I MEAN JUST EVERYONE.

 

             MYERS SAID HE RECEIVED THAT EMAIL ON FRIDAY JULY 13TH.

 

            THE NUMBER OF BAD CHECKS FROM THE NEBRASKA CITY SHOW IS UNCLEAR AT THIS TIME, BUT IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE CUSTOMERS WHO DID GET A BAD CHECK FROM THE ROADSHOW MYERS SAYS THERE IS SOMETHING YOU CAN DO.

     

            "ONE OF THE THINGS THEY CAN DO, GIVE ALL THOSE BAD CHECKS TO THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE LET THEM BUILD A CASE ON THEM, HAVE AN ARREST WARRENT OUT FOR HIM (JEFF PARSONS) AND HAVE HIM COME BACK TO NEBRASKA CITY TO ANSWER ON THESE CHARGES.
