MCLEAY HAS FAMILY TIES TO NEBRASKA CITY AND OTOE COUNTY

By Nate Gonner 7/1/2013

AN OMAHA BASED LAWYER WITH CLOSE TO 30 YEARS OF BUSINESS LAW EXPERIENCE ANNOUCED HIS BID TO BECOME THE NEXT US SENATOR OF THE STATE OF NEBRASKA OUTSIDE THE OLDEST PUBLIC BUILDING IN THE STATES HISTORY.

BART MCLEAY ANNOUNCED HIS INTENTIONS TO RUN FOR MIKE JOHANNS’S SEAT IN 2014 IN FRONT OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS OUTSIDE THE OTOE COUNTY COURTHOUSE ON MONDAY MORNING.

MCLEAY IS RUNNING HIS CAMPAIGN ON ONE SIMPLE PLATFORM, FREEDOM HAS WORKED.

       MCLEAY AUDIO:

MCLEAY IS JUST THE LATEST REPUBLICAN TO EITHER JUMP INTO THE RACE OR TO CONSIDER A RUN.

FORMER NEBRASKA STATE TREASURER SHANE OSBORN ANNOUNCED LAST MONTH, WHILE OTHERS ARE CONSIDERING A BID, INCLUDING BEN SASSE, PRESIDENT OF MIDLAND UNIVERSITY, AND PETE RICKETTS, AN OMAHA BUSINESSMAN WHO MADE AN UNSUCCESSFUL BID FOR U.S. SENATE IN 2006.

MCLEAY HAS SEVERAL TIES TO THE KNCY LISTENING AREA AND THE NEBRASKA CITY COMMUNITY.

MCLEAY’S WIFE JANE IS A MEMBER OF THE POTTER FAMILY IN NEBRASKA CITY, WHILE HIS MATERNAL GRANDFATHER, THOMAS E DUNBAR, WAS THE DISTRICT JUDGE FOR OTOE, CASS, AND SARPY COUNTIES IN NEBRASKA FROM 1944-1952.
