CAN CARE A VAN EVENT BRINGS IN OVER 3400 POUNDS FOR TOWN

               NEBRASKA CITY’S FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH TEAMMED UP WITH A LINCOLN TV STATION TO HELP STOCK SHELVES FOR THOSE IN NEED IN NEBRASKA CITY EARLIER THIS MONTH.

 

              ACCORDING TO KEITH THOMPSON, THE CAN CARE A VAN EVENT HELD IN CUNJUNCTION WITH CHANNEL 10-11 IN LINCOLN, HELPED RAISE 3,489 POUNDS OF FOOD FOR THOSE IN NEBRASKA CITY.

 

              THOMPSON SAYS THIS FOOD DRIVE, HELD JUNE 3RD THROUGH 8TH, ALMOST SERVED AS A REMINDER PEOPLE TO DONATE FOOD NOT JUST DURING THE HOILDAY SEASON, BUT DURING THE SUMMER AS WELL.

              THOMPSON SAYS PEOPLE HAVE CONTINUED TO DONATE SINCE THE END OF THE FOOD DRIVE .

            FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO DONATE, THEY CAN STILL DO SO BY DROPPING YOUR DONATIONS OFF AT THE FELLOWSHIP HALL LOCATED AT THE FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH IN NEBRASKA CITY.
