ACCORDING TO NEBRASKA CITY SUPERINTENDENT JEFF EDWARDS, THE DISTRICT IS PLANNING ON UPDATING INFASTRUCTURE IN BOTH THE MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL TO BRING WIRELESS CAPABILTIES TO THOSE CAMPUSES.

EDWARDS SAYS ONLINE BOOKS ARE QUICKLY BECOMING THE WAY OF THE FUTURE, AND WITH THE TECHNOLOGY BOND, THEY WILL NOT HAVE THE ADDED COST OF INFASTRUCTURE APART OF THOSE DISCUSSIONS.

THE BOARD ALSO APPROVED A GRANT PROPOSAL TO BRING TWO SESSIONS OF PRESCHOOL TO NEBRASKA CITY, ALONG WITH APPROVING THE 2013-14 STUDENT HANDBOOKS FOR EACH DISTRICT AND ACCEPTED A BID FROM DANA COLE TO CONTINUE DOING THE SCHOOLS AUDIT PROPOSAL THROUGH THE 2015-16 SCHOOL YEAR.

THE NEXT MEETING OF THE NEBRASKA CITY SCHOOL BOARD WILL TAKE PLACE MONDAY JULY 15TH BEGINNING AT 6 O'CLOCK AT CITY HALL IN TOWN.
