MAYOR KUDRNA SAYS STUDY IN PRELIMINARY STAGES

             SEVERAL ITEMS WERE DISCUSSED MONDAY NIGHT AT THE JUNE MEETING OF THE AUBURN CITY COUNCIL.

 

              IN AN INTERVIEW WITH KNCY NEWS, AUBURN MAYOR SCOTT KUDRNA SAYS THE COUNCIL APPROVED THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF E.C HARTWIG AND HARRY BRIDGMON TO THE MUNICIPAL TREE BOARD.

 

              KUDRNA ALSO MENTIONED HAVING TWO MEMBERS OF OLSSON ASSOCIATES IN TOWN FOR PRELIMINARY TALKS ABOUT DOING A COMPREHENSIVE STUDY OF AUBURN’S RECREATION FACILITIES AND SEE IF THERE ARE RECOMMENDATIONS ON IMPROVING THOSE ENTITIES.

 

              KUDRNA SAYS HE BELIEVES THE CITY HAS GREAT RECREATION FACILITIES, BUT WANTS TO KNOW WHAT PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR IN AN AREA THEY WANT TO MOVE TO.

              KUDRNA ADDED THAT THE COST OF SOME OF THESE PROJECTS IS SOMETHING TO CONSIDER AS WELL AND SAYS HE COULD HEAR SOMETHING REGARDING A COMPREHENSIVE LOOK PROPOSAL WITHIN THE NEXT MONTHS OR SO.

 

              THE COUNCIL ALSO APPROVED SIX CONSTRUCTION BID FOR HOUSES APART OF SENDD’S OWNER OCCUPIED HOUSING REHAB PROJECT AND TABLED A DECISION ON PUTTING OUT BIDS FOR THE WEST WATERLINE PROJECT, WITH A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ISSUE TO COME UP SOON.

 

              THE NEXT MEETING OF THE AUBURN CITY COUNCIL WILL BE HELD MONDAY JULY 8TH BEGINNING AT 7 O’CLOCK AT CITY HALL IN TOWN.
