 OMAHA STORMCHASERS SWEEP ROUND ROCK

           THE OMAHA STORM CHASERS WILL HIT THE ROAD THIS WEEK FEELING PRETTY GOOD ABOUT THEMSELVES AFTER SWEEPING A FOUR GAME SERIES WITH THE ROUND ROCK EXPRESS THIS WEEKEND.

 

              THE STORMCHASERS FINISHED OFF THE SWEEP SUNDAY AFTERNOON WITH AN 8 TO 6 WIN AT WERNER PARK.

 

              THE OMAHA OFFENSE WAS PACED BY WIL MYERS AND TONY ABREU WHO EACH CONTIBUTED WITH TWO RBI'S.

              ROUND ROCK DID GET TO STORMCHASER STARTER SEAN O SULLIVAN WHO GAVE UP 6 RUNS ON 9 HITS WALKING 3 AND STRIKING OUT 5 IN JUST FOUR INNINGS OF WORK.              ROUND ROCK LEAD 6 TO 3 BEFORE OMAHA STORMED BACK WITH 2 RUNS IN THE SIXTH AND THREE IN THE EIGHTH TO TAKE THE LEAD FOR GOOD.             

               OMAHA NOW HAS WON FIVE IN A ROW AS THEY HEAD TO DES MOINES FOR A THREE GAME SERIES WITH THE IOWA CUBS.

              IOWA WILL TRY TO CUT INTO THE STORMCHASERS TEN GAME LEAD IN THE PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE’S AMERICAN NORTHERN DIVISION.
