SEQUESTRATION CUTS HAS HIT AUBURN HEADSTART PROGRAM

              THE MAY MEETING OF THE AUBURN SCHOOL BOARD MET MONDAY EVENING AT THE SCHOOLS CENTRAL OFFICE IN TOWN.

 

              THE BOARD APPROVED A BID FROM CAPITAL BUSINESS SYSTEMS FOR COPIERS THAT WILL SAVE THE DISTRICT 130 DOLLARS A MONTH, SET THE SCHOOLS TUTION FOR OUT OF STATE STUDENTS WANTING TO COME TO AUBURN AT 6500 DOLLAR AND APPROVED THE HIRE OF CALLIE CARFIELD AND BOB FULLER AS THE SCHOOLS NEW 6TH GRADE AND P.E TEACHER RESPECTIVELY.

 

              THE BOARD ALSO APPROVED TO PROVIDE 23 LUNCHES TO THE AUBURN HEAD START PROGRAM.

 

              AUBURN SUPERINTENDENT KEVIN REIMAN SAYS CUTS IN WASHINGTON D.C. HAS HIT THE HEADSTART PROGRAM HARD.

              THE BOARD ALSO DELAYED BIDS FOR A NEW GYMNAISUM UNTIL JUNE’S SCHOOL BOARD MEETING.

 

              SPEAKING OF THE JUNE AUBURN SCHOOL BOARD MEETING, IT WILL BE HELD MONDAY JUNE 10TH BEGINNING AT ITS REGULAR TIME OF 5:30 AT THE AUBURN SCHOOL’S CENTRAL OFFICE IN TOWN.
