By Nate Gonner 5/10/2013

AFTER A HANDFUL OF DOWNTOWN NEBRASKA CITY BUSINESSES HAD BREAK IN ATTEMPTS AT THEIR STORES EARLIER THIS WEEK, THE NEBRASKA CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT IS RECCOMENDING A FEW TIPS TO KEEP OTHER BUSINESS FROM HAVING THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO THEM.

NEBRASKA CITY AUTHORITIES ARRESTED 20 YEAR OLD DEVON CROPP OF NEBRASKA CITY, 19 YEAR OLD SULLIVAN DAVISON OF UNION, AND 18 YEAR OLD TANNER MARCOE OF GRENTA FOR AN ALLEGED BREAK IN ATTEMPTS TO THREE BUSINESSES IN NEBRASKA CITY.

IN AN EFFORT TO CUT DOWN ON FUTURE BREAK IN’S TO BUSINESSES, NEBRASKA CITY POLICE CHIEF DAVE LACY IS RECOMMENDING BUSINESS OWNERS KEEP A FEW LIGHTS ON OVERNIGHT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A FLOOD LIGHT ON THE BACKSIDE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

LACY SAYS HE UNDERSTANDS THE COST THAT COME WITH LEAVING LIGHTS ON OVERNIGHT, BUT IT COULD HELP AVOID AN EVEN BIGGER COST IN THE FUTURE.
