MEETING TO BE HELD AT LEWIS AND CLARK CENTER IN NEB CITY

               THE US ARMY CORP OF ENGINNERS WILL BE HOLDING SPRING WATER MANAGEMENT PUBLIC MEETINGS STARTING NEXT WEEK IN NEBRASKA CITY.

 

              ACCORDING TO THE CHIEF OF THE WATER MANAGEMENT DIVISION JODY FARHAT, THE PURPOSE OF THE MEETINGS IS TO UPDATE THE PUBLIC ON CURRENT HYDROLIC CONDITIONS OF THE RIVER, AND PLANNED REGULATION THAT WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE MISSOURI RIVER IN THE COMING MONTHS.

 

              FARHAT SAID THOSE REGULATIONS INCLUDE COMMERCIAL OPERATION ON THE WATER WAYS DUE TO THE ONGOING DROUGHT.

              FARHAT SAYS THESE MEASURES WILL HELP CONSERVE THE WATER THAT IS CURRENTLY IN THE RESEIVORS.

 

              THE FIRST SPRING WATER MANAGEMENT MEETING WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY EVENING BEINNING AT 7 O'CLOCK OUT AT THE LEWIS AND CLARK CENTER IN NEBRASKA CITY.
