NCTC REQUESTING COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT DURING ARBOR DAY CELEBRATION

             THE NEBRASKA CITY TOURISM AND COMMERCE IS KICKING OFF A LOCAL CAMPAIGN TO TRY AND GET COMMUNITY MEMBERS MORE INVOLVED IN THIS YEARS ARBOR DAY CELEBRATION.

 

              EXECTIVE DIRECTOR OF NEBRASKA CITY TOURISM AND COMMERCE REBECCA TURNER SAID SHE DECIDED TO START THE "REKINDLE YOUR LOVE" CAMPAIGN IN TOWN, HOPING THAT COMMUNITY MEMBERS WILL REEMBRACE ARBOR DAY AS THE COMMUNITY’S ORIGINAL HOLIDAY.

 

              TURNER SAYS RECENTLY APPLE JACK HAS TAKEN OVER AS THE MOST POPULAR YEARLY FESTIVAL HELD HERE IN NEBRASKA CITY.

 

              SHE IS HOPING TO CHANGE THAT THIS YEAR.

              TURNER SAYS THEY ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO RUN VARIOUS EVENTS FROM THE ARBOR DAY 5K TO THE CHILLI COOKOFF COMPETITION.
