MAIN WORRY IS ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF PERSONELL DURING DAY

            A COUNTY WIDE ASSESSMENT OF THE EMEREGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES INSIDE OTOE COUNTY EMERGENCY STARTED ON WEDNESDAY HERE IN NEBRASKA CITY.

 

              THE EMS ASSESSMENT TEAM HAS BEEN CONDUCTING INTERVIEWS WITH EMERGENCY MEDICAL PERSONELL AND CHECKING THE COUNTIES MEDICAL RESOURCES.

               THE ASSEMENT TEAM WILL THEN MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS IN FOR FUTURE SUCCESS IN THE DEPARTMENT.

 

              DOUG FULLER IS THE SOUTHEAST EMS COORDINATOR DIVISION OF PUBLIC HEALTH FOR THE STATE OF NEBRASKA.

 

              HIS MAIN CONCERN FOR THE COUNTY AT THE MOMENT IS THE AMOUNT OF VOLUNTEER EMERGENCY PERSONELL AVAILABLE FROM 6 IN THE MORNING UNTIL 6 IN THE EVENING.

              ACCORDING TO ASSISTANT CHIEF OF EMS OPERATIONS FOR NEBRASKA CITY RODNEY TURPEL, EVERY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE UNIT IN THE COUNTY, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF NEBRASKA CITY, IS COMPRISED MAINLY OF VOLUTNEERS.
