OFFICES COMPETING AGAINST FOOD PANTIES ACROSS THE U.S.

               THE SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA COMMUNITY ACTION OFFICES ARE CURRENTLY TAKING DONATIONS FOR THE 16TH ANNUAL FEINSTEIN CHALLENGE.

 

              ACCORDING TO SENCA’S EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SUSAN PHILLIPS, FOR THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS HER OFFICES HAVE BEEN VYING FOR A PORTION OF A MILLION DOLLARS FROM ALAN FEINSTEIN GIVEN TO FOOD PANTRIES ACROSS THE NATION FROM BOTH URBAN AND RURAL AREAS.

 

              PHILLIPS SAYS THIS IS A GREAT TIME FOR THIS CHALLENGE.

              SHE SAYS HOW MUCH MONEY EACH OFFICE GETS DEPENDS ON DONATIONS, AND THEY CAN BE ANYTHING FROM CASH OR CHECK TO NON PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS.
