KINTNER SEES MEDICAID EXPANSION AS BIG THREAT TO STATE

              THE TOPIC OF MEDICAID WAS ONE OF A NUMBER OF DISCUSSION TOPICS AT MONDAY MORNING’S MEET AND GREET BETWEEN STATE SENATORS DAN WATERMEIER AND BILL KINTNER AND LOCAL BUSINESS OWNERS FROM SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA.

 

              STATE SENATOR KATHY CAMBELL HAS PROPOSED LB-577 WHICH WOULD INCLUDE NEBRASKA’S MEDICAID SYSTEM UNDER THE OMABACARE UMBRELLA.

 

              SENATOR KINTNER SAYS EXPANDING MEDICAID IS THE BIGGEST THREAT TO THE STATE IN THE DECADE HE HAS BEEN APART OF IT.

             KINTNER ADDED NEBRASKA WOULD PAY AN EXTRA 60 MILLION IN OBAMACARE TO ALLOW PEOPLE TO HAVE FREE HEALTH CARE.

 

             THE BILL HAD ITS HEARING THE LAST DAY OF FEBRUARY AND ITS UNCLEAR IF THE MEASURE WILL MAKE IT TO FLOOR OF THE LEGISLATURE.
