SENATORS TALKED ISSUES FROM MEDICAID TO BUILD NEBRASKA ACT

             THE LEGISLATURE TOOK A DAY OFF ON MONDAY, AND TWO SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA SENATORS SPENT MONDAY MORNING IN NEBRASKA CITY TALKING WITH SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS.

 

              STATE SEANTOR’S DAN WATERMEIER OF SYRACUSE AND BILL KINTNER OF PAPILLION MET AT CHRIS’S CAFÉ IN DOWNTOWN NEBRASKA CITY TO TALK WITH MOSTLY NEBRASKA CITY BUSINESS OWNERS ABOUT THE BIG LEGISLATIVE TOPICS IN LINCOLN.

 

              DISCUSSION RANGED FROM STATE WIDE ISSUES SUCH AS MEDICAID EXPANSION AND THE FREEZING OF TUITION FOR STATE SCHOOLS TO LOCAL ISSUES SUCH AS THE REPEALING OF A LOCAL OPTION SALES TAX AND THE BUILD NEBRASKA ACT.

 

              SENATOR WATERMEIER SAID HE TOOK ONE BIG THING OUT OF THE DISCUSSION REGARDING EDUCATION PROGRAMS.
