MEETING HIGHLIGHTED BY PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING CITY MAPS

              THE FIRST MEETING OF THE NEBRASKA CITY CITY COUNCIL WAS HELD MONDAY EVENING AT CITY HALL IN TOWN.

 

              THE MEETING BEGAN WITH A PROCLIMATION AS MAYOR JACK HOBBIE DECLARED THE WEEK OF MARCH 11TH THROUGH 17TH AS MS AWARENESS WEEK IN NEBRASKA CITY.

 

              THE COUNCIL ALSO HEARD A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE USE OF A GRANT FROM THE LB840 FUND IN ORDER TO PRINT NEW CITY MAPS FOR THE NEBRASKA CITY TOURISM AND COMMERCE OFFICE.

 

              THE COUNCIL WOULD APPROVE AND ADOPT AN ORDINANCE TO ALLOW THE SALE OF FIREWORKS FROM DECEMBER 28TH THROUGH JANUARY 1ST INSIDE CITY LIMITS, APPROVED THE GRANT FROM THE LB840 FUND FOR THE USE OF PRINTING NEW CITY MAPS, RELEASED TWO LIENS ON PROPERTYS, AND APPROVED A REQUEST TO USE BOTH SIDES OF STEINHART PARK ROAD FROM CENTRAL AVENUE TO ARBOR ROAD FOR THE PURPOSE OF PARKING DURING THIS WEEKENDS YOUTH WRESTLING MEET.

 

              THE COUNCIL IS SET TO MEET MONDAY EVENING MARCH 18TH BEGINNING AT 6 O'CLOCK AT CITY HALL IN TOWN.
