By Nate Gonner 1/29/2013

A CELL IS CURRENTLY HEADING SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA AND SOUTHWEST IOWA’S WAY AND COULD BRING A NEW BATCH OF SNOW TO THE KNCY LISTENING AREA.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OUT OF VALLEY NEBRASKA HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR MUCH OF THE LISTENING AREA FROM 7 THIS EVENING UNTIL 9 O CLOCK WEDNESDAY MORNING SAYING THERE IS A 60 PERCENT CHANCE OF SNOW IN THE FORECAST FOR THIS EVENING.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEROLOGIST BRIAN MILLER SAYS THE HEART OF THE KNCY LISTENING AREA IS WHERE THEY ARE PROJECTING THE MOST SNOW WILL FALL.

MILLER SAYS PEOPLE CAN EXPECT ANYWHERE BETWEEN TWO TO FOUR INCHES FOR THE LISTENING AREA.

HE SAYS IT IS TOO EARLY TO TELL IF THIS BATCH OF SNOW COULD CAUSE SCHOOLS OR BUSINESSES TO CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY OR IF THIS CELL WILL AFFECT TONIGHT HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL GAME WITH SYRACUSE AND DOUGLAS COUNTY WEST.

STAY TUNED TO KNCY AS WE KEEP AN EYE ON THIS WINTER FRONT MOVING INTO THE AREA.
