INCREASES IN ALL SIX KNCY COUNTIES

              THE STATE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IN NEBRASKA STAYED THE SAME IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER, BUT THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR REPORTS INCREASED NUMBERS OF UNEMPLOYMENT FILLINGS FOR THE MONTH FOR THE KNCY LISTENING AREA IN SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA.

 

              THE STATE UNEMPLOYMENT STAYED UNCHANGED AT 3.7 PERCENT FOR DECEMBER.

 

              IN OTOE COUNTY, THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE CAME IN A 3.9 PERCENT, AN INCREASE OF HALF OF A PERCENT FROM NOVEMBER.

 

              IN NEMAHA, THERE WAS ALMOST A FULL PERCENT INCREASE IN UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS FROM LAST MONTH COMING IN AT 4.9 PERCENT.

 

              RICHARDSON COUNTY ALSO RECORDED UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS AT 4.9 PERCENT, WHICH IS THE HIGHEST UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IN THE KNCY LISTENING AREA.

 

              OTHER KNCY COUNTIES SAW PAWNEE COUNTY WITH THE BEST UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IN THE AREA AT 2.8 PERCENT, AN INCREASE OF 4 TENTHS OF A PERCENT FROM LAST MONTH.

 

              JOHNSON COUNTY HAD THE SECOND BEST RATE AT 3.5 PERCENT FROM DECEMBER, ALSO AN INCREASE OF 4 TENTHS OF A PERCENT FROM NOVEMBER.

 

              AND CASS COUNTY ROUNDS OUT THE LISTENING AREA WITH AN UNEMPLOYMENT RATE OF 4.2 PERCENT, AN INCREASE OF A HALF OF A PERCENT FROM DECEMBER.
